At first, I was really put off because of his unappealing name, but I gave in and bought Safe as Milk. I was interested to see what kind of music someone with a name like Captain Beefheart would make, but I was also curious if the amazing reviews of the album were right. They definitely were. When I first played it, it was really like nothing I had heard before and hard to classify. Each song can put you in a different mood and when replaying songs it sounds new, but familiar.
