127 Hours

I just saw 127 Hours, and it was the best movie I've seen in a while. It's hard to describe what it's like coming out of 127 Hours, but it really makes you think, and not just about how amazing the story is. I do really like James Franco, and he did such a great job, but it wasn't just him. Danny Boyle has such a great, unique style of directing that hits every nerve. His talent for using sound, camera direction, and editing is amazing in every movie, like Trainspotting which is one of my favorites. The style he has consists of his extraordinary specialty of weird dream sequences or hallucinations, which never seem corny or overdone, but add more to the experience. Also, the soundtracks to his movies are usually pretty great.
127 Hours, based on the true story of Aron Ralston, who was trapped by a boulder crushed against his arm in a canyon in Utah for 127 Hours. Aron was forced to amputate his own arm to live, an obviously really, really intense scene in the movie. It's difficult to make a movie interesting which only involves one actor and one set for the majority of the movie, but I was drawn to it the whole time.
