I came across this book when I was sitting in my favorite bookstore, McNally Jackson on Prince St. The photos really stood out to me and I promised myself I would go home and look him up. I forgot his name (I knew it started with S, but that was it) and since Icon is a publishing company, it took me forever to finally get to it. Most of these photos are from the book, but a few are just some I like not from the book.

Photography Book 1: Peter Simon I and Eye: Pictures of My Generation

This summer I found out photographer Peter Simon (Carly's brother) owns his own store in Vineyard Haven in Martha's Vineyard. The store consists of posters and books of his photographs from the beginning of his career up until now. He was walking around his store, barefoot, and when someone would pick up a poster or book, he would tell them about it. I love a lot of his earlier stuff, especially from this book, but now he kind of takes corny Vineyard photos.
